I am purchaseing a braillenote classic from a friend. It has not been upgraded as far as I know. It still has the internat SD card. I was wondering if anyone has upgraded there classic to a mpower. IF so what did you need to do and what is the price range?

I don't think you can upgrade to all the features of the mpower. I am pretty sure you won't get the audio recording or the FM radio. I think you can get the software upgrades like the database manager. I'd suggest you call Humanware as they now have toll-free tech support. Be ready with the serial number of the unit in case there are upgrades available that were already paid for, and be ready with the software version number. Good luck.

you can update to an MPower by transplanting your braille display. it cost about $2000 but it is worth it.
contact humanware for exact prising, and for more details
